Planning approved for West Suffolk Hospital

Last week outline plans for a new replacement West Suffolk Hospital were approved at Planning Committee. The culmination of over 2 years’ work, this is a significant milestone for the project, which is part of the biggest hospital building programme in a generation – one of the 40 new hospitals pledged by the Government to be built by 2030.

The approval is a step closer to being able to deliver a much needed new hospital for Bury St Edmunds and the wider West Suffolk community. The project has been truly collaborative, with our team working closely with the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, Ryder Architecture, Castons, and the wider project team.

Jess Wilson, Associate Director, said:

We are very proud to be working on such an important, complex project and this milestone is testament to all the hard work of the Trust and the wider team over the last two years. We look forward to the next stages of detailed design and delivery of what is a critical piece of health infrastructure for the whole West Suffolk community.

From inception and feasibility through to implementation and delivery, we understand the design and delivery requirements to provide 21st century health care facilities. To find out more, contact:
