Last week we said goodbye to 20 Farringdon Street.
It was a chance to bring together clients, collaborators and friends of the business, reflect on seven years in the office where Newsteer started, and recognise the people who have contributed to our growth along the way.
We’ve now moved into our new home at 1 Waterhouse Square, having outgrown our office space three times over the last seven years.

The move provides a natural moment to look at how the business has evolved.
When Newsteer was founded in 2019, we were a small team with a clear ambition: to provide commercially focused advice that helps clients maximise value, manage risk and move projects forward.
Since then, we’ve grown to 46 colleagues across London and Manchester, broadened our expertise and expanded the range of services we offer. Alongside that growth, we’ve continued to strengthen the multidisciplinary approach that sits at the heart of the business, bringing together expertise from across planning, development, valuation, occupier advisory, compulsory purchase and regeneration to deliver joined-up advice for our clients.
The past 12 months have been particularly significant.
We’ve strengthened our Planning Logistics offer with the arrival of Serena Page, expanded our compulsory purchase expertise with James Dewey joining as Director, and launched Flex Advisory under the leadership of Jordan Saleh. We’ve also continued to grow across the wider business, welcoming talented new colleagues and creating new opportunities to support clients across an increasingly diverse range of projects.
That growth has been reflected externally too. Over the past year, Newsteer has risen to 33rd in Building’s Top 50 Surveyors, retained its position within Building’s Top 150 Consultants and received recognition through awards including a CoStar Impact Award and Property Deal of the Year at the Northern Property Awards.
While those milestones are important, they are outcomes rather than objectives.
The focus remains on building a stronger business, investing in our people and continuing to evolve in line with what our clients need. Looking around the room at our farewell event last week, it was clear just how much Newsteer has changed. New faces, new capabilities, new relationships and new opportunities.
1 Waterhouse Square is the next step in that evolution.
As Newsteer continues to grow, the new office provides the space for our teams to collaborate, develop and continue building on the momentum of recent years.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the story so far.
We’re looking forward to what’s next.
