The client’s challenge

The redevelopment of Northcote Library required a range of third-party property rights to be considered as part of the appropriation process. These included rights of way, rights of use and rights to light, with resulting compensation claims requiring assessment and negotiation.

Newsteer advised the London Borough of Wandsworth across the promotion of s.203 appropriation powers, engagement with affected parties and s.204 valuations and compensation assessments.
