With over 7 years of experience, George is part of a professional team that provides market-leading valuation and development consultancy advice specialising towards technical valuation, regeneration, compulsory purchase and land assembly.

George’s experience is spread over a number of historic and live projects involving Red Book valuation advice, Compulsory Purchase Orders and the negotiation of claims for compensation on behalf of both acquiring authorities, land owners and occupiers facing acquisition.

George is a RICS Registered Valuer and well-practised in providing expert advice for both private and public sector clients, tailored across a range of asset types for a variety of different purposes.

George has been practising as a surveyor specialising in commercial valuation for over 7 years. George has provided valuation advice for secured lending, financial statements and statutory purposes, including compulsory purchase purposes and ‘best consideration’ as per the requirements of s.123 Local Government Act 1982.  George has provided advice to a variety of clients including RB Greenwich, LB Wandsworth, LB Lambeth and LB Richmond.

George is currently advising local authorities and/or their development partners on land assembly and CPO matters on several regeneration and estate renewal schemes including Woolwich Exchange (RB Greenwich and Notting Hill Housing) and the Gascoigne Estate (LB Barking & Dagenham and BeFirst).

Woolwich Exchange presents a mixed use town centre regeneration promising to deliver 801 residential dwellings, a new cinema and commercial space. George is involved in project managing the CPO which involves over 200 interests, roles involve; liaising with the client, updating trackers, engaging with claimants, property inspections and valuation reports.

George also advises property owners and occupiers with interests acquired or affected by the delivery of major infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and HS2 as well as major regeneration schemes. Advice is being provided to clients including Sainsbury’s, John Lewis Partnership Pension Fund, Greene King and Schroders.

Highlights

  • Providing CPO delivery, acquisition and compensation advice in respect of Woolwich Exchange on behalf of the Royal Brough of Greenwich and the developer.
  • Negotiating and settling a compensation claim of £150,000 costs relating to the successful relocation of City Plumbing (Travis Perkins), avoiding a litigation resolution via the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber)
  • S.123 Best Consideration & RICS ‘Red Book’ compliant valuation advice to the Royal Brough of Greenwich, for a large multi-let industrial estate identified for regeneration in Charlton Riverside and a former Grade II listed power station in Plumstead
