Operating within the Development Consultancy and Agency Team as a Development Director Ross has experience in providing development advice for an array of clients, including private and public landowners, developers and investors on residential, commercial and mixed use opportunities (including private sale, hotel, student, retirement and BTR). This advice includes providing initial feasibilities through to running formal option appraisals providing strategic advice, and the subsequent marketing and running of the disposal process.
Over the last four years Ross has positioned himself as one of the leading consultants within the asset optimisation sector. Ross’ understanding of the clients key drivers whilst providing a commercial viewpoint has been instrumental in his success to date. For asset optimisation to be successful Ross believes the process should always starts off with a clear understanding of the operational business and its needs. He has been at the forefront of the Tesco asset optimisation initiative which has seen c.20 sites with a combined GDV in excess of £2bn being brought to market. These deals have included unconditional disposals, subject to planning, as well as more complex agreements which allow comprehensive redevelopments to take place while ensuring continuity of trade.
In addition to the above Ross provides landowners advice on viability through the planning process, design and the potential opportunities to add value, deal structures, planning risk and strategic technical advice.
