Newsteer delivers the annual accounts valuation of Notting Hill Genesis’s commercial portfolio through their framework, coordinating more than 250 valuations across approximately £100 million of retail, office, residential, long leasehold and alternative-use assets. The relationship also includes lease extensions, disposal programmes, operational property advice, rent reviews and lease renewals.
The client’s challenge
NHG needed a robust, consistent and auditable valuation process across a large and varied portfolio, delivered to its annual accounts timetable while also supporting decisions on lease events, disposals and wider asset strategy.
Our solution
Led by a senior RICS Registered Valuer, Newsteer coordinated the portfolio-wide programme, allocated specialist resource across asset types and applied consistent reporting and quality-assurance procedures. Draft valuations were shared early so that queries could be resolved before final reporting, while the wider team provided joined-up advice on operational property and lease matters.
Beyond advice: how we added value
Newsteer treated the instruction as an ongoing framework relationship rather than a one-off valuation exercise. Combining portfolio valuation with lease-event management and strategic asset advice gave NHG a clearer, evidence-led basis for annual reporting and property decisions across the portfolio.
Outcomes and impact
The valuation passed external audit with minimal queries and no changes to the reported valuations. Newsteer has been retained by NHG, extending the relationship into ongoing valuation and strategic property advice.
