A fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join our award-winning team.

Newsteer is a multidisciplinary team of planners and surveyors, providing specialist advice across Town Planning, Development Consultancy, Regeneration & CPO, Lease Advisory and Transactions. We enable our team to fulfil their goals and potential as part of a strong, supportive collective – working with our clients to deliver exciting and often high profile projects.

Working with a broad range of clients within a variety of sectors, we are looking for Licentiate / MRTPI planner to support the senior leadership team in delivering planning appraisals, core planning submission documents and assisting (and often ‘leading’) in the preparation, submission and project management of planning applications / appeals.

Above all, we are looking for someone who works well in a team, and who is approachable, friendly, hard-working, intuitive, and adaptable.

We are based in Central London but offer flexible hybrid working, working on projects across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Planning History Searches
  • Preparing planning appraisals
  • Attending site visits
  • Attending project and client meetings
  • Attending planning committees
  • Preparing core planning submission documents – including pre-application letters / statements, planning statements and appeal statements
  • Post decision applications – including discharging and varying planning conditions
Your Role
  • Servicing client’s requirements for specialist town planning advice.
  • Delivering core planning documents to the project directors.
  • Successfully negotiating planning applications to secure the optimum output for clients.
  • To support the project directors in advising clients on a planning strategy and ways of improving the deliverability of development opportunities.
  • Assist the team in generating business opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Delivering high quality planning advice to clients.
