Ground Rent Portfolio – £400 million
We advised Macquarie on behalf of the Just Group on the acquisition of a ground rent portfolio of 55 foodstores across the UK for c. £400 million in December 2023.
The innovative transaction allows the operator to raise alternative long-term financing whilst retaining the freehold interest and generating a long-term income stream from ground rents for the investor.
