Planning applications for new EV charging hubs and re-purposing roadside retail units
Our Planning Team supported a national convenience retailer in the strategic acquisition of several PFS portfolios across the country.
Each portfolio, consisting of approximately 30-50 sites, required detailed town planning advice to assess opportunities for enhancing the retail offering from both an impact and sequential perspective, as well as from a physical and built form standpoint.
Given the competitive nature of the acquisitions, timely and consistent reporting on planning risks was critical.
Key challenges included addressing local council thresholds for retail impact and ensuring that any extensions would not disrupt site operations during or after construction.
