Newsteer is very pleased to have a secured a resolution to grant permission at Luton’s Planning Committee last night for our client, Coalition Land. The planning application builds on planning permission secured in November 2020 for 169 homes and will now provide 272 homes in 4 blocks over 5-11 storeys, including on-site affordable provision.
The site was originally identified by the Council for 65 houses and, having worked closely with the Officer’s of the Council, this town centre highly sustainable brownfield site was recognised as being able to deliver much more.
From Newsteer, Paul Manning and Rachel Mengham advised on planning and Richard Garside and Lottie Smallwood advised on financial viability.
The scheme was designed by White Red Architects with support from BRD Environmental Ltd, XCO2, Janice Gooch Heritage Consultancy , MPC, BB7 Fire & Security Consulting, Turley for TVIA, Air Quality Consultants Ltd, MLM Group and Travel and Transport Planning Consulting Ltd (TTP Consulting).
