Newsteer Real Estate Advisers is very pleased to have secured at planning committee our fourth S.73 Minor Material Amendment permission after also securing two S.96a Non Material Amendments for Southern Grove / Future Generation to amend the original consent to help support the successful delivery of The Elite, a 440-bed student accommodation scheme in the heart of Loughborough which is due for completion this summer.

This amendment to the original approval replaced a significant green wall with public art designed by 3rd year textile student of the University of Loughborough Art Faculty Flo Sargent. The art panels each measure over 11 metres by 5 metres and reflect the towns unique, diverse and cultural history and how this is energising future generations.

The student scheme is designed by Rio Architects and is being delivered by Gareth Dominique MRICS of Future Generation and contractors McAleer & Rushe. Newsteer have supported on regularising the planning permission through NMA and MMA applications working closely with the client, design team and the council.
