Having completed our 2022 Carbon Reduction Plan we continue to make positive improvements on our sustainability journey. One key outcome is that we have brought forward our commitment to achieve Net-Zero emissions, now set for 2040.
For our most recent reporting year, in achieving carbon neutrality we have invested the equivalent of 33 metric tons of carbon dioxide (tCO2) in the Larimar Wind Farm Project, in the Dominican Republic. This project focuses on the construction and operation of two wind farms with the primary objective of replacing fossil fuel-based power generation with clean, sustainable energy sources. We have also planted 22 trees in the UK, an effective way to sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, while also promoting biodiversity and improving air quality.
Going forward, whilst maintaining our existing strategy we are aiming to implement additional measures such as:
- Efficient management of our supply chain to resource sustainably
- Engage with our suppliers to ensure carbon emissions accountability and robust carbon reporting for upstream and downstream transportation and distribution
