Last week as part of our Corporate Volunteering pledge for 2023, we headed to Enfield and planted more than 800 trees as part of London’s largest reforestation project.
We booked this event with Thames21 who is working in partnership with Enfield Council to restore Enfield Chase, 60 hectares of former royal hunting ground in the Salmon’s Brook catchment, part of the greater River Lea catchment. Over the next ten years, Enfield Council aims to be the greenest borough in London by creating more publicly accessible green spaces and areas of woodland. They are investing £500k to plant trees in 2022/23.
As part of our ESG commitments, we have pledged to hold two corporate volunteering days every year, with a focus on increasing biodiversity and environmental conservation; as well as supporting our local communities, including our involvement in the Christmas Fareshare/Tesco Foodbank collection.
